We are delivering a high-spec Cat A and Cat B office fit-out in the heart of Cardiff for a well-known financial company, transforming a commercial space into a modern, functional, and visually striking workplace. With a project value of £5 million, we’re seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead site operations and drive delivery to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day site operations and manage subcontractors
- Ensure programme milestones are met and quality standards upheld
- Coordinate Cat A and Cat B works including M&E, partitions, finishes, and FF&E
- Maintain strict health & safety compliance and conduct regular site audits
- Liaise with the client, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication
- Manage site logistics, deliveries, and sequencing of trades
- Monitor progress, resolve issues, and report to the Project Director
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience managing Cat A and Cat B fit-out projects (ideally £4M+)
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black or White card), and First Aid certification
- Excellent understanding of commercial office fit-out processes and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach to problem-solving
