About the Role
We’re seeking a highly skilled and proactive Passive Fire Project Manager to lead the delivery of fire protection works on a live student accommodation site. This is a critical role requiring precision, leadership, and a deep understanding of fire safety regulations in occupied buildings.
You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of passive fire protection, ensuring compliance, safety, and minimal disruption to residents. The ideal candidate will have experience working in live environments and a proven track record of delivering fire protection projects to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the planning and execution of passive fire protection works (e.g., fire stopping, compartmentation, fire doors)
* Manage subcontractors and ensure works are completed safely, on time, and within budget
* Liaise with site teams, residents, and stakeholders to coordinate works in a live environment
* Conduct regular inspections and quality assurance checks
* Ensure full compliance with relevant fire safety legislation and building regulations
* Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for audits and handover
Requirements
* Proven experience in passive fire protection project management
* Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and best practices
* Experience working in live environments, ideally student accommodation or residential settings
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
