Commissioning Lead

Up to €125'000 + Overseas Allowance + Accommodation + Flights + 10/4 rotation + Travel paid!!

Our client is a leading dedicated data centre delivery partner , headquartered in Dublin and operating throughout Europe. They provide turnkey solutions from design through to construction, covering civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning services.

With projects currently underway in 7 European countries and they are recognised as a trusted market leader in the sector.

We are seeking a Commissioning Lead to join the team. You will oversee commissioning activities on-site, working closely with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and Supervisors to ensure programme milestones are achieved. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, clear communication, and the ability to motivate and guide your team.

  • Supervise commissioning tasks for all Electrical and Mechanical vendors

  • Ensure compliance with scope of work and monitor delivery progress

  • Communicate deadlines and commissioning programme milestones

  • Report on programme progress and deadlines

  • Supervise and attend Electrical Vendor FATs and FWTs as required

  • Organise, attend, and contribute to daily/weekly commissioning meetings

  • Prepare and update weekly vendor progress reports for management

  • Coordinate with QAQC and AP departments to achieve shared objectives

  • Track and obtain approval for commissioning documents (test scripts, compliance statements, etc.)

  • Witness vendor commissioning activities against approved documentation

  • Conduct commissioning tagging processes and procedures

  • Manage day-to-day on-site commissioning operations

  • Relevant certification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering , or Electrical Trade (e.g., NVQ)

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in a similar role within construction (data centres, pharma, industrial, or commercial projects desirable)

  • Experience with LV/MV/HV systems and commissioning

  • At least 3 years' electrical testing & verification experience

  • Strong construction knowledge with a focus on safety

  • Analytical problem-solving and decisive action-taking skills

  • Process-driven mindset with emphasis on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems
