Electrician - Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL)
Location: Luton (initial project, with potential UK-wide travel)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Predominantly nights (Sunday - Friday / 10pm - 6am)
Rate: £29.76 per hour (JIB rates) + excellent benefits package

LRL are currently recruiting for a skilled Electrician to join our client's specialist team, working on the installation of Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) at Luton Airport . This project is expected to run for 12-18 months and offers the opportunity to work on critical airport infrastructure.

Our client are recognised experts in AGL design verification, installation, and maintenance , supporting both defence establishments and major airports across the UK. This role provides long-term stability, professional development, and a chance to gain unique experience in a specialist sector.

• Deliver electrical installation works in accordance with current legislation and agreed scope of works.

• Install LV wiring systems and AGL systems to a high standard.

• Carry out cable pulling and containment installation.

• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Quality Management systems at all times.

• Work collaboratively as part of a skilled team to meet project deadlines.

• CSCS / JIB Card.

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.

• AM2 Certification.

• At least 3 years' experience as an Installation Electrician.

• Experience of installing LV wiring systems and containment.

• Physically fit and happy to carry out cable pulling.

• Effective planning and coordination skills.

• Ability to work outdoors in varied conditions.

• Must hold a clean DBS and a full UK driving licence .

(Full AGL training will be provided - previous sector experience is advantageous but not essential.)
