Senior Quantity Surveyor

42.5 per week (typically 7:30/8:00 - 17:30, site dependent)
Red Sky Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure and civil engineering contractor, seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in West London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-established, privately owned business delivering major infrastructure schemes across the water, transport, and built environment sectors.
You will play a vital role in ensuring commercial performance, managing contracts, identifying opportunities, and supporting the project delivery team on high-value projects ranging from £200k to £10m+.
Key Responsibilities

Manage cost and value reporting, forecasting, and monthly CVRs

Prepare and submit accurate applications for payment and final accounts

Procure and commercially manage subcontractors

Maintain control of contract compliance under NEC and IChemE frameworks

Advise site teams on commercial processes and improve cost efficiencies

Ensure commercial risks are identified, mitigated, and opportunities realised

Maintain strong relationships with the supply chain, stakeholders, and internal teams
Requirements
Essential:
-
Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor role within infrastructure or heavy civils

Sound knowledge of NEC (Options A & E) and/or IChemE contracts

Demonstrable experience in cost analysis, forecasting and subcontractor management

Commercial awareness across design & build and self-delivery environments

Proficient with Microsoft Office and commercial reporting tools

Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable:
-
Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)

CSCS card
-
Member of RICS or working towards chartership
-
Experience working on water or infrastructure frameworks
